Frank Salvati from the Minisink Valley Historical Society, and local Lenape expert, will talk about Joseph Brandt in the Minisink Valley. He is always a dynamic speaker and promises to bring along interesting Indian artifacts. At the Foster-Armstrong House, refreshments served, donation welcomed.

The Nature Conservancy in Montague;
Eric Olsen of the Nature Conservancy will be joining us to share lots of interesting information about local nature and conservation in Montague. There will be a short presentation at the Foster-Armstrong House on River Road, followed by two walking field trips in the area.
June 26, Annual Opening of the 1790 Foster-Armstrong House on River Road and the early 1800’s Nelden-Roberts Stonehouse on Route 206. Tours will be conducted by docents at each house every Sunday through August 28. See a small version of Cole’s General Store, the Foster Tavern, a new Indian exhibit, items from the Brick House Hotel, a quilt collection, hand-made covered bridges and a special Armstrong Family exhibit at the Foster-Armstrong House. Both houses will be open from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. Donations for house maintenance are welcomed.
June 26, Sunday afternoon
Mother Goose’s Chickens, a mini-farm presentation by Sharon Orce with chickens and geese. Bring your children for a fun time at the Foster-Armstrong House between 1 and 4 P.M.

Exhibit of Nature Photography and song by Karen Stevenson, Karen will dazzle you with her great photography and cheer you with her music at the Foster-Armstrong House, River Road starting at 1P.M. and ending at 4P.M. The Minisink Garden Club will conduct tours of the herb garden next to the Nelden-Roberts Stonehouse on Route 206.

1609: A Country That Was Never Lost. Book signing with Kevin Wright of The 400th Anniversary of Henry Hudson’s visit with North Americans of the Middle Atlantic Coast, at the Foster-Armstrong House. Taking excerpts from his most recent book, this history lover with family roots in Montague, and past President of the Sussex County Historical Society, Kevin will be talking about one of his favorite topics, the Minisinks in the Upper Delaware Valley. Seating is limited so arrive early.
